What is DePaw U?

It's College for Dogs & Dog Lovers!

"DePaw U!" is an ongoing series
of fun & educational lectures,
demonstrations, & fundraisers
hosted by Pawsitive Energy
to benefit snips, our non-profit
holistic dog sanctuary & rescue.

It's held on the farm at Pawsitive Energy,
where we transform the front lawn into a beautiful outdoor campus.

the charming Dr. Hound Dog, PhD, pictured above.

We chose a university theme because we wanted our "students" to feel like they were "enrolled" rather than
just attending a series of
unrelated events.

Developing a community
of people who can network,
learn from, and support
each other as we all
learn how to keep our dogs
happy and healthy
the natural way is our
ultimate goal.

We're sorry, but we have had other issues to
deal with and haven't been able to schedule any
events for 2010. Hope to be back in 2011!

We Already...
* Use the profits from the bed & biscuit to fund our 80 animal rescue & sanctuary
* Allow our clients to determine their dogs' vaccination and flea treatment protocols
*Clean with non-toxic, biodegradable products
*Control fleas and flys with natural predators instead of toxic chemicals
*Use only safe, non-toxic toys
*Use safe bedding and Kuranda beds, the most durable, long lasting dog beds on the market
*Pay our employees more than the industry standard
*Feed all natural food and treats
*Use all natural kitty litter and horse bedding (Besides being safer, you don't need to use as much & it makes the horse manure great for gardens!)
*Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
*Compost horse manure

*Use safer paints and other products for maintenance and repair
*Find a good use for dog waste!
