We
plan to make this happen any way we can. We'll be contacting everyone
we know and asking for all the help they can give.
We'll
need to publicize the event. We plan to contact TV stations and newspapers
for coverage before and during. We need volunteers willing to contact
friends and family who might be enlisted to help - or who might be thinking
about adopting a dog.
On the day of the event, we'll need help transporting the dogs from the
shelter to Pawsitive Energy, then help with recording each dog as s/he
arrives and making notes about his/her health. And we'd like to get as
many bathed as possible over the weekend, so anyone who doesn't mind getting
a little soggy for a good cause is welcome.
Foster
homes are needed.
We'd
also like to have photographers
to help document the day.
We
hope to enlist the help of area vets
to work with us on necessary veterinary care, including spay/neuter. Volunteers
will be needed to help with transportation on spay/neuter days.
We
plan to line up as many rescues
willing take dogs
as we can in advance, since we can only house them short term.
We
will need to help plan for transportation
from Pawsitive Energy to each group.
Walkers
will be needed!
Money
is needed, too, of course.
Donations can be made to "snips,"
the non-profit rescue sponsoring the day.
Kennel
space is being donated by
Pawsitive Energy.
